Jerad File – Pastor

Jerad File has served as the pastor of Redeemer Baptist Church since its founding in 2016. A native of Bond County, Jerad has a deep love for this community and a burden to see Christ exalted in rural Illinois. He holds a Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Master of Theology in Systematic Theology, and he has completed additional doctoral coursework in Old Testament. Jerad has pastored and been on church staff in Missouri, Kentucky, and Illinois for over two decades, often serving bivocationally in education and other fields.

He is committed to expository preaching and the health of the local church, drawing theological influence from historic Baptist confessions and ministries like 9Marks. Jerad and his wife have three children. Two of them are now adults, and he considers one of his greatest blessings to be seeing his adult daughters and his teenage son walk in the truth. Whether in the pulpit, the classroom, or everyday life, Jerad desires to faithfully shepherd God’s people and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
